TIDMAS

Charlie is a writer and director whose work in film and television focuses on intersectional masculinities and trans identity. He has most recently co-directed a short film for the BFI Doc Society, which was selected as one of the British Council’s Five Films for Freedom. Charlie was a BFI 

Flare x BAFTA Mentee for 2024 and is a BAFTA Connect member. He has received short film commissions from BFI NETWORK and Channel 4’s Random Acts. His previous works have placed in the Academy Nicholl Fellowship and screened on Short of the Week with over 855k views. Alongside writing and directing, he works as a script reader and script editor for the BBC and BFI among others.
